Informative Videos:
The trailer for Bully is very poignant. It depicts the lives of students who deal with bullying on a day to day basis. It is a good example of trying to create a connection between people by giving a face to the issue of Bullying in schools nationwide.
It was through Miles Jai that I lessened my homophobia. She taught me that everyone is different and amazing in their own way. It is through love alone that we grow to love everyone equally no matter who they are - what they are - and most of all she has taught me to find joy in the simple things in life. :-)
This boy has swept the nation. His story is tear jerking and clearly shows what societal standards can cause a boy to go through. He is brave for making this video on account of so many people outing him out. He is very strong to go through this alone and through the mix comments on his video post - he will overcome this problem. Like many others, we as individuals have to stay strong and keep moving forwards and remember that our struggles are not taken in vain.
Ryan from Gays of the Week is a very political and socially conscious of this fight for equality rights as human beings. I strong encourage people to support him in his campaign "Second Class Citizens". Ryan moves people through his great video. He voices the issues of people by create national awareness through his youtube channels and facebook fan page. Like Miles Jai, they are "the cats pajamas" - Emily Alt.
Ellen covers a lot of political issues on her show, but when she talks about bullying she moves crowds. Like Oprah, she has a lot of power of her television watchers. Ellen is a proud support of many Gay Activist Groups and a dear Gleek! She shows her support through her video - not as an advertisement, but as a desperate need for change.
